Job Title: Deepwater Field Drilling Engineer

Location: Ghana and Liberia
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Deepwater Field Drilling Engineer to work with other Field Drilling Engineers, Drill Site Managers, Drilling Engineers and Drilling Superintendents as part of a rig based, or possibly shore based exploration drilling execution team involved in Chevron's New Country Entry Liberian Deep Water activities. The position is responsible for ensuring sound well site drilling engineering lessons learned and best practices are applied during well execution.
NOTE: This position will require some time in Houston during the planning for the operation, but this position will work primarily a 28/28 rotational schedule in remote locations in Liberia, Ghana and the rigsite.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years experience in drilling engineering and drill site management in an offshore environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles and engineering software applications.
• Candidate must be process and results oriented. Experience in leading quality risk assessment conversations is a plus.
• Must be able to work effectively with office and rig based personnel, both Chevron employees and contractors.
• Candidate must be willing and able to work a 28/28 rotational schedule to either Liberia, Ghana, and rig sites.
