Title: Ladoja urged to build Ogun Accord Party
Post by: Punch on Jun 21, 2013, 03:31 AM
Former Oyo State Governor and National Leader of Accord Party, Alhaji Rasheed Ladoja, has been urged to build the Ogun State chapter of the party.

This appeal was made during a stakeholders' meeting held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as contained in a statement made available to The PUNCH on Thursday.

A chief of the party, Chief Bamgbola Akinsanya, noted with dismay that no political party had met the needs of the people. He urged party members to eschew bitterness and work for the party's progress.

He said, "No political party has met the needs of the people. I urge you to meet unmet needs of the public by eschewing bitterness and factionlisation so as to serve the people conscientiously."

Akinsanya further added that Ogun was a good state of "opportunities for new political parties to make inroad into the hearts of politicians and voters as people are yearning for a progressive change in their lives."

On her part, a party member, Tinu Ogunbona, admitted no position had been filled by the party in the state, while calling on indigenes to vie for elective positions.
