Job Title: Analyst I – III, Non-Governmental Relations

Job Summary: The Analyst, Non-Governmental Relations will be responsible for maintaining and leveraging relationships with key Non-Government stakeholders. The job holder reports to the Deputy General Manager, Government External & Industry Relations
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops proposals for funding of Commission projects by international and local funding organization
2. Assists the Head of External and Industrial Relations to effectively engage with funding community and ensure that the Commission receives support for its regulatory activities
3. Facilitates the Commission's relationship with local and international NGOs and the international community
4. Assists in liaising with stakeholders on informational matters and Government policies
5. Assists in monitoring the activities of NGOs and other Associations
6. Collates and updates lists of all Stakeholders with their current phone numbers and addresses
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Fair knowledge of the electricity industry
2. Good knowledge of the workings of the international development agencies, NGOs etc.
3. Must be of good discipline with high integrity
4. Able to communicate (both written and verbal) effectively
5. Good knowledge of stakeholder engagement
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
7. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
8. Good organizational skills
Educational / Professional Qualification: A first degree in any of the following disciplines – Law, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or related fields
Work Experience: Minimum of 2-6 years post-graduation experience
