Some serving Batch 'C' corps members and ex-Batch 'B' corps members, who redeployed to Oyo State from other states, have complained of being owed about six months' allowance.
Some of the affected corps, members who spoke to Saturday PUNCH on Thursday, claimed that about 700 persons were being owed between four and eight months' federal allowance.
In addition, some of the affected serving corps members are also being owed by the Oyo State government.
The monthly federal allowance and Oyo State allowance for corps members are N19,800 and N3,800, respectively.
A serving corps member, who redeployed to the state from Ebonyi State in January, and identified herself as Bunmi, said she was being owed both federal and state monthly allowances.
Bunmi estimated that she was already being owed N118,000 by both the federal and the state governments.
Another affected Batch 'C' corps member, Mr. John Olukunle, who redeployed from Borno State, said the only explanation they have been getting from the state's National Youth Service Corps secretariat was that the delay was from the National secretariat in Abuja.
When contacted for comments on Thursday, the Assistant Public Relations Officer, NYSC, Oyo State, Mr. Bunmi Falope, said, "I cannot give any reaction on this issue. You know, I am not authorised to give any official reactions. I will advise that you get in touch with the NYSC headquarters in Abuja."
The NYSC Director of Public Relations, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, described the allegations as "untrue," in a phone conversation with Saturday PUNCH.
