Title: 2011 NWAG Nigerian Undergraduate Student Scholarships

The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia (NWAG) plans to award 37 one-time scholarships, one per state of origin as well as one for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in the amount of fifty thousand Naira each, to Nigerian female, undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.

Requirements:
An applicant must be a Nigerian female, undergraduate student in a Nigerian University

All applications must include the following:
•   State of origin certificate
•   Two letters of recommendation from two of the following community leaders: Church Pastor or Mosque Imam, Dean of your Faculty/School, and Department Head
•   1 Letter of recommendation from one of the following: Village Head, Local Government Chairperson.
•   Photocopy of your current university student identification card
•   A current photograph of yourself
•   An explanation of why you need and should receive the scholarship-(not more than one-half typed page).

A type-written, double –spaced, two-page essay on: "If you represent women/children/youth special interest group, what issues/causes would you advocate for the government to make a priority in its legislation and why?"

All application entries must be type-written and double spaced.

Instructions: Print, complete and submit the NWAG Application Form together with materials and documents specified above under Requirements.

Note: Incomplete applications or applications that show evidence of plagiarism will be disqualified.

All applications must be mailed directly to the address on the letterhead.

Application process is free! Do not send money to anyone nor include money in your application.

All applications must be POST-MARKED BY MAY 30, 2011. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications may not be faxed, e-mailed or hand-delivered.
