Job Summary: The Manager, Good and Works Procurement support the Principal Manager in coordinating procurement matters for the Commission. The job holder reports to the Principal Manager, Procurement
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops Commission's Procurement plan
2. Supervises preparation of bid documents for goods & works
3. Co-ordinates arrangements for bids and proposals evaluation for goods & works
4. Serves as Secretary Procurement Planning Committee
5. Supervises officers that handle the Finance and Management Services, Market Competition & Rates and CEO Office procurement activities
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. A good knowledge of the Commission's mandate
2. Well versed with Public Procurement guidelines in Nigeria
3. Must be disciplined, ethical and possess a high level of integrity
4. Should be a person who can work closely in a team
5. Excellent interpersonal skills
6. Attention to detail
7. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
8. High level of organizational and planning skills
9. Ability to exercise appropriate independent judgement
10. Proficiency in the use of computer (Microsoft Office suite)
Educational / Professional Qualification(s):
1. A first degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline
2. A relevant post graduate degree or professional certification would be an added advantage
Work Experience: Minimum of 9 years post-graduation experience within which 5 years will be in procurement
