Job Title: Analyst, Librarian

Division/Department: Finance and Management Services

Employer: Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC)

Sector: Power

Job summary: The Analyst, who also doubles as the Commission's Librarian, manages the Commission's library. The job holder reports to the Deputy General Manager Industry Studies

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Organises and manages the paper and electronic filing systems used by the various project teams in the Division

2.   Maintains the template filing structures and their locations

3.   Coordinates mandatory project documentation templates, including version control

4.   Conducts regular audits to track that mandatory documents have been created and are being maintained

5.   Provides support for preparation for project audits, ensuring all necessary documentation are completed and approved

6.   Maintains the database of books, records and files

7.   Produces management reports

Person Specification:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

1.   Able to develop strategy to track the Commission's books

2.   Must be good in Microsoft office packages, such as Word, Excel and Power Point

3.   Excellent document/records management and archiving

4.   Proficient if the use of the computer

5.   Good organisational and interpersonal skills

6.   Detail-conscious

Educational Background: A first degree in Library Science

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience working in a similar function
