Job Summary: The Manager – Senior Manager Finance will be responsible for budgeting, and revenue monitoring. The job holder reports to the Deputy General Manager Finance and Accounts
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintains proper record of licensees
2. Reconciles Licensees accounts
3. Ensures timely invoicing of licensees that are due for renewal notification
4. Prepares a weekly report on revenue generation performance
5. Ensures that divisional estimates are prepared timely and correctly
6. Assists in the timely preparation of the commission's budget
7. Prepares a variance analysis report comparing appropriation to budget and explaining the variances on a bi weekly basis
8. Ensures that monthly bank reconciliation is done.
9. Ensures that Fixed Assets Register is maintained
10. Prepares the Final Accounts of the Commission
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and others at all levels in the organization
2. Rigorous attention to detail
3. Numerate and analytical
4. Proficient in the use of the computer, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
5. Working Knowledge of any of the following Accounting Softwares, Tally, Flexcube, Lotus and Oracle
6. Good record keeping skills
7. Able to work independently
Educational Background:
1. Must be a graduate of accounting / financial management
2. Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant
Work Experience: Minimum of 9 – 12 years post-graduation experience working in accounts department of a reputable public or private sector organisation
