Job summary: The Analyst Renewable Energy will provide research and administrative support to the Unit. The job holder will report to the Manager Renewable Energy and Rural Electrification
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assists in conducting studies on economics of renewable based power as input to tariff settings for renewable energy
2. Assists in meeting the regulatory requirement of the National Energy Policy and the National Electric Power Policy
3. Assists in the design draft PPA, Connection agreement and system standards for renewable energy based off-grid power supply to remote areas
4. Liaises with Renewable Energy programmes of other Government agencies
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. A good understanding of the Commission's mandate and the electricity sector in Nigeria
2. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
3. Fair knowledge of renewable energy market and conversant with renewable energy issues
4. Excellent interpersonal skills
5. Strong written and oral communication skills
6. Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to assist with problem resolution
7. Proven ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at multiple management and business unit levels and locations
8. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities
9. Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office packages
Educational / Professional Qualification(s):
1. A first degree in Economics, Political Science, law, Admin, Engineering or related discipline
2. A Master's degree or professional qualification in a relevant field is added advantage
Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience
