Job summary: The Analysts will provide research and administrative support to the unit. The job holders will report to the Assistant Manager (S&F)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
2. In collaboration with others, develops and maintains databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions
3. In collaboration with others, develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
4. Interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings
5. Performs basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
6. Generates routine and ad hoc reports
Person Specification:
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Fair knowledge of renewable energy market and conversant with rural electrification issues
2. Well-developed analytical skills
3. Strong written and oral communication skills
4. Adept in the use of data analysis tools (e.g. SPSS, E-View Oracle, SAS,MYSQL)
5. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
6. Able to work within a team to deliver set targets
7. A good grasp of the Commission's mandate and an understanding of the electricity sector in Nigeria
8. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
Educational Background:
1. A first degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
2. A Master's degree or professional qualification will be an advantage
Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years post qualification
