Construction work on the proposed second bridge across the River Niger may have begun the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. Indication on this emerged at the weekend when construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Ltd, believed to be the favoured contractor for the project, began preliminary work on the job.
