Description: Team Leader – Private Sector Growth in Nigeria (MADE)
Objective of the programme: The aim of the programme is to promote livelihoods in Nigeria through value chain promotion to increase economic growth, employment and incomes. The programme will be active in the Niger Delta region and will utilise the Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach to ensure that interventions are pro-poor and inclusive of vulnerable groups, working in close collaboration with the extractive industries to support community engagement.

Objective of the role: We are seeking applications from highly experienced private sector development (PSD) and value chain experts for the role of Team Leader. The role of Team Leader will involve lead responsibilities for ensuring the effective delivery of all programme outputs, as well as overall management of the programme staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivering a comprehensive overview of selected value chains in the Nigerian economy
• Supporting and overseeing the development of a political-economic analysis and comprehensive market analysis, using an M4P approach
• Development of an effective monitoring and evaluation strategy
• Ensuring the participation and engagement of key stakeholders within the Nigerian related sectors, state and federal governments and extractive industries
• Oversight and quality control in relation to programme activities
• Delivery of key reports and work plans
Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably with Nigeria experience in PSD and value chains promotion
• Experience with the M4P approach
• Strong experience managing teams under donor funded programmes, specifically DfID.
• Significant networking and relationship management skills, as well as project management expertise
• Understanding of key approaches to monitoring and evaluation and the delivery of value for money
