Title: Onazi Fired Up After Confed Miss
Post by: Folami David on Jun 26, 2013, 09:16 AM
Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi is keen to put the disappointment of missing out on the 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil.
.
The SS Lazio player was ruled out of the tournament after picking up an injury in Nigeria 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Namibia on June 12.
.
Head coach of the Nigeria coach, Stephen Keshi highlighted the importance of the 20-year-old to the team when he declared after the tournament that Onazi's absence was partly responsible for the side's under-par display at the tournament in Brazil.
.
"I can't imagine that my top striker Emmanuel Emenike will miss some of the goals that we missed (at the tournament) and even Ogenyi Onazi was sorely missed," Keshi said.
.
Onazi has now taken the time to discuss his present situation explaining that he is "feeling much better."
.
"Thank you all for your prayers and support, am feeling much more better. I have personally gone through all your messages, am fired up to give more and do more by the special grace of God. #forzalazio #supereaglesalltheway," Onazi said via his Facebook page.
.
Onazi has made 12 appearances and scored one goal for the Super Eagles since making his debut in 2012.

Ogenyi Onazi shouldn't be disappointed because Nigeria played well in the games they lost.
