Akwa United striker, Emmanuel Enize, has assured that the Uyo club will not be relegated at the end of the current Glo Nigeria Premier League season.

The Promise Keepers currently occupy the 18th position in the 20-team standings with 21 points.

Enize, who swapped Bayelsa United for Akwa United during the Week Nine transfer window this season, said The Promise Keepers have enough quality to beat the drop.

"No we won't be relegated this season because we will begin the second round with all seriousness and we'll play good football. We have a team that can win at home or away," said Enize, who previously played for Ocean Boys and Sharks.

But the last time The Promise Keepers dropped to the second tier in the 2008/09 season, they amassed a total of 48 points and are at present three points short of half that haul.

However, Enize is unperturbed by the fact that Akwa United have not earned half of those points after the end of the first round of the Glo Premier League this season.

He also draws hope from escaping the drop with Ocean Boys (now known as Divine Warriors) in the 2010/11 season on the last day.

"Everything is possible and we will not go down. I remembered when I was in Ocean Boys three seasons back we escaped relegation on the last day so I am not afraid. I will put in my best and God's will be done," said the Akwa United striker.

Enize has scored three league goals this term though one of them came in the botched contest against Warri Wolves.
They can't be so sure yet. Let them just ensure they put their all into every game right about now. That's all they have to do.
