Almeria FC of Spain are monitoring the situation of Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama with a view to landing him ahead of the commencement of the 2013/2014 La Liga season, reports Italian online paper, tutumercato quoting from Spanish online sports website, Almeria 360.

The newly-promoted side are bent on capitalizing on the uncertainties surrounding Enyeama's future at French top divison side Lille following the expiration of his season-long loan deal with Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv few weeks ago.

Enyeama joined the former French champions two seasons ago but after he found a regular playing time hard to come by in his first season he opted for a return to Israel albeit on loan in the just concluded season and he recently declared that he was ready for a showdown talk with Lille management this summer before deciding what to do in the summer transfer window.

The former Enyimba of Aba skipper was part of coach Stephen Keshi's squad to the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil where the Super Eagles failed to make it to the knock-out stage despite putting up some decent performances against the likes of world and European champions Spain and South American soccer powerhouse Uruguay.

He is expected to take the place of Almeria's former goalie, Diego Garcia, who will be leaving the club this summer.
