Job Title: Graduate Trainee Recruitment (GAA-Trainee)

Employer: Tship Nigeria

Sector: NGO

Roles and responsibilities:

• Verifies amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy.• Sorts documents and posts debits/credits to proper account. Balances entries and makes necessary corrections.

• Verifies statement items and totals with department records.

• Monitor implementation of activities conducted by grantees and produce report.

• Update grantee's files with monthly financial and programmatic reports.

• Makes and checks necessary

calculations on grantees financial reports

• Authenticate the guanines of receipts and other financial supporting documents submitted by grantees.• Prepares or checks invoices, requisitions and other documents for processing; encodes and obtains approval when necessary.• Compiles routine numerical information for report purposes by hand or by running routine recurring reports on internal computer records for grantees.• Perform clerical duties such as sorting mail, filing and typing, operates variety of general office equipment.

Skill set:

Competency to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.• Knowledge of basic business math.• Skill in maintaining accounting or bookkeeping records.

• Knowledge of records management procedures• Skill in both verbal and written communication.

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

• Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients.

• The ability to lead and motivate a team.

• A willingness to work long hours, often under pressure.

• A professional manner.

• Good business sense and the ability to work to budgets.

• Good spoken and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Can be NYSC Corp Member with degree in any discipline,

• Experienced in preparing and formatting graphs and tables using MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)

• Membership of peer Educator (Reproductive Health) or MDGs Club preferred

• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

Work experience: 0-1 year

Location: Bauchi and Sokoto (Nigeria)
