Title: Edo PDP Chair Slams Oshiomhole Over Teachers’ Strike
Post by: Shola Sholaz on Jun 28, 2013, 04:34 PM
Edo State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, has described as shameful, the position of Governor Adams Oshiomhole on the ongoing strike embarked upon by teachers in the state.
.
It will be recalled that the governor, last week approved the implementation of the 27.5 per cent Teachers Special Allowance, TSA, for secondary school teachers in the state, leaving out the striking primary school teachers.
.
However, receiving defectors from action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, to the PDP, including a former Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Joe Atonegbe, in Ehor, headquarters of Uhunwonode Local Government Area, Orbih advised Oshiomhole to have a rethink of what he described as a 'divide and rule system' that is being deployed to solve the problem.

Teacher's strike happens often over there and it is not a godd sign at all. That is a very bad image of that state.
