Description:
• In order to assist the programme to improve its understanding of the rural population in northern Nigeria, Propcom Mai-karfi will, at different times, require the services of Field Enumerators for field interviews.
• The Field Enumerator will assist Propcom Mai-karfi in collecting data as per the programme requirements for its different markets.
• The Field Enumerator will seek out respondents that fit the suggested profiles and collect data based on questionnaires developed and supplied by the programme.
• The Field Enumerator will submit completed questionnaires to Propcom Mai-karfi, and will, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in the format required by the programme.
• As part of each assignment, Enumerators will participate in briefings, carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting. Logistics and travel for the Field Enumerator will be planned and carried out according to programme policies.
• Field Enumerators will work according to the programme's needs and on a project-by-project basis. This is will be a temporary assignment and remuneration will be paid based on the tasks carried out.
• The Enumerator will report to a Field Supervisor.
The Enumerator must:
• Have a degree or similar qualification
• Be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Be fluent in speaking and understanding Hausa
• Be able to carry out quick basic mathematical calculations
• Be able to carry out basic excel functions (data entry, sums, averages etc.)
• Have good IT skills
• Be willing to travel locally
• Have an enquiring mind, energy and enthusiasm
• Be personable and able to interact with people
• Be based in one of the following states, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe, Borno or Adamawa State.
Note: Previous experience in conducting surveys/field studies is an advantage.
