RESIDENTS of Fadeyi and Jibowu along the Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway, have called on the police in Lagos State to find a lasting solution to the menace of social hoodlums in the areas The residents also appealed to the state police command to ensure a 24-hour security surveillance as the hoodlums not only operate in the day, but also during the night.
Many of the residents even suggested that the police in the state should permanently station an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) at Fadeyi bus stop , following the circulation of arms and ammunition among the youths in the area.
Jibola, a resident of one of the streets in Fadeyi, described the activities of hoodlums around the area as "worrisome" and urged the state government and the Security Trust Fund to wade into the situation.
