Our client: Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading conglomerate in Nigeria to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for its various business units amongst which are a quick food chain, ICT and communications business units.
Job description:
• The Supply chain Manager will have the responsibility of establishing the most effective supply network and planning strategy to ensure proper product & material availability and collaborating across various business units and stores to deliver sustainable competitive advantage for the company and its customers.
• He will be responsible for the Procurement and logistics functions of the group and will report to the Executive director and CEO.
• The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
• Develop, implement, manage and monitor all strategic procurement activities of the group.
• Manage all import related activities including interactions with suppliers, banks and customs
• Track products & materials through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination on time
• Determines and ensures execution of deployment strategies for Finished Goods to customers
• Supervise / oversee the ordering and packaging process for onward delivery to customers.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure stores have enough stock at each time
• Optimizes production and inventory to deliver the demand plan
• Make sure suppliers have enough stock to meet demand
• Derives Finished Goods (FG's) stock policy using inventory planning models by stock holding location
• Determines gross requirements by distribution centre or market
• Coordinate warehouse and transportation capacity planning
• Recruit, monitor and motivate and train staff
• Overall responsibility for managing the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
• B.Sc / MBA in Supply Chain Management or any managerial science.
• At least 7 years experience preferably in dairy/Fresh Food & Beverages businesses
• Strong experience in supply chain optimization and logistics process design
• Experience in purchasing, logistics, stores management and contract management
• Have an excellent communication & negotiation skill
• Demonstrated level of initiative in similar role.
• Should be familiar with ERP/OPM solutions
• Leadership skills
• Honest and hardworking
• High proficiency in MS Office applications
• Team oriented and outgoing
