Valencia have signed midfielder Javi Fuego from Spanish rivals Rayo Vallecano for an undisclosed fee, the clubs said on Monday.

Fuego, 29, has signed a three-year contract with Valencia, who finished fifth in La Liga last season.

He started his career at Sporting Gijon then moved on to Levante and Recreativo Huelva before joining Rayo.
