Former Flying Eagles midfielder, Christopher Nwosu, has backed John Obuh's side to defeat Uruguay in today's Round of 16 game.

Nwosu who was a member of the Flying Eagles team handled by Tunde Disu that got to the final of the U-20 World Cup in Saudi Arabia in a chat with Complete Sports insists that the team must take the game to the South Americans from the blast of the whistle and ensure they score early to unsettle the Uruguayans.

"The game will be a very difficult one for the Eagles and it will be good for them to take the initiative from the start of the game."

"The Flying Eagles will do well to score early goals in the game which could give them the confidence to be in the driving seat."
