A house wife, Aisha Abu of Kurmin Mashi, Kaduna, on Monday dragged her husband to Magajin Gari Sharia Court 2, asking for a divorce after his mother allegedly directed him to stop feeding her.

Abu told the court that her husband, Mohammad Abdullahi, had stopped providing for her on the instructions of his mother.

According to her, she has never had peace since their marriage due to the interference of her mother-in-law, who lives in the same house with them.

She told the court that the woman had also began tormenting her two years into the marriage, allegedly taunting her for not giving birth.

Abu added however that she became pregnant and delivered a boy after they relocated to Katsina to avoid the woman, but had to return to Kaduna to continue living with her.
