Heartland chief assistant coach, Ramson Madu has absorbed his wards from blame in the 0-1 loss to oriental foes, Enyimba in the mid-week Glo Premier League Matchday 20 tie at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
.
The six-time Nigerian champions had claimed similar victory in the first fixture at the Aba International Stadium to close the curtain on the first stanza of the league.
.
Fidelis Saviour scored the lone and decisive goal for the Aba Elephants to take their total points to 31 against their victims' 28 from a possible 60.
.
Madu blamed the centre referee for his biased officiating in the game that gave their opponents a victory.
.
"We lost the game to the match officials and not to Enyimba as they did nothing to deserve the three points at stake. What transpired here today (Wednesday) was exactly a repeat of poor handling of our game in Aba against same Enyimba.
.
"Our league is doomed with this type of officiating when the referee will openly show where his interest is and subsequently make it difficult for the unfavoured side to play their own game.
.
"The goal Enyimba score was clearly an offside goal and shockingly the referee and his assistants allowed the goal to stand.
.
"My reaction shouldn't be mistaken to be the normal view of losers, the referee did a poor job of the game and I can only wish them well.
.
"Normally the home fans would have reacted angrily by venting their disappointment and disapproval either on the players or coaches but nothing like that happened because they're convinced that their side were robbed. They quietly left the pitch to their respective homes while others showed sympathy and solidarity with the highly disappointed players," said the former player of the side to supersport.com.
.
Madu is not convinced that the future holds better results for the side except there is a drastic change of heart by some of the officials.
Yes I totally agree with that..Sometimes our referees behave like that and it ruins our games.
