Title: Group asks Amaechi to apologise to Jonathan
Post by: Mirror on Jul 06, 2013, 09:01 AM
A group under the aegis of Middle Belt Reconnaissance yesterday told the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to tender an unreserved apology to President Goodluck Jonathan and the minorities of this country for the agony and embarrassment he has caused them.

The group also threatened to take appropriate and legal action to stop him from committing further damage. In a letter by Kuanum Terrence and six others addressed to the Rivers State governor, the Middle Belt Reconnaissance warned that it would not hesitate to take every appropriate and legal means to stop Amaechi from committing further damage to the psyche and common interests of Nigerians.

They also said that their endorsement of President Jonathan for a second term was not primarily an act of politicking, but "a genuine recognition of the success of his transformation agenda and developmental strides in our region, as well as to demonstrate our support for his leadership."

The group said that their position also serves a notice that they would no longer sit on the fence and "watch you trade our future to the north for whatever reason.

"Consequently, we hereby request that you withdraw from the politics of the Nigeria Governors Forum. It is our further demand that you tender an unreserved apology to His Excellency, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and the minorities of this country for the agony and embarrassment you've caused us."

If the apology is the right thing to do then it would make a lot of sense if the apology is tendered for peace to reign. Dope one.
