The battle cry has been sounded out and the Super Eagles have assured that the team is ready to be the first to qualify Nigeria for the biannual tourney which is into it's third edition.
.
Attacking midfielder Sunday Mba has stated that nothing but an emphatic victory will do as they look to set the tone for a mouth watering second leg encounter.
.
It was Mba's goal that separated the two sides last time they met at the 2013 Afcon hosted by South Africa, and the former Enyimba and Mighty Jets player is looking to do the business again.
.
"I want to continue where I stopped, My goal against the Ivory Coast at the last Nations Cup is still fresh in my memory, infact it's some kind of motivation for me," he told supersport.com in Kaduna.
.
"The team is ready, I'm also ready, we want to be the first set of players to qualify the country for the tournament and I believe will do so.
.
"My recent experiences at the Nations Cup and the Confederations Cup should be able to help the new players in the team. I have learnt a lot and will make good use of it". Mba added.
.
The Super Eagles rounded up their preparations on Thursday while the Ivorians had a feel of the lush green main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Friday.
.
The Elephants looked sharp and training and had some shooting practice towards the end of their training session, before being driven out to their Access Hotel accommodation in a bevy of security details.
.
The Super Eagles will host their Ivorian counterparts in a CHAN 2014 first leg qualifier at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
.
The game is for 4:00 pm (Nigerian time)
