Super Eagles right-back Efe Ambrose has said that after watching the home boys demolish Cote d Ivoire he will tell his overseas-based counterparts to brace for a shirt war as the Glo Nigeria Premier League boys are fired up.
.
Ambrose told Complete Sports at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna that from the way the boys played, it was glaringly clear that they can fit into the main squad with ease.
.
"I think we the Europe-based players must gird our loins for a battle to keep our positions in the team.
.
These boys have improved so much that one cannot really differentiate them from the main squad," the Celtic of Scotland defender told Complete Sports. "If they play like this in the second leg and if they can be more clinical in front of goal, the Eagles will win again in Abidjan. It won't be easy though."
.
The former Kaduna United star said that the emergence of these home boys is a positive sign that the Eagles will continue to dominate Africa for some time to come.
.
He confessed that he is having a swell time with Celtic and that he is not thinking of switching clubs now but was quick to add: "I won't reject a good offer from a bigger league, that I can assure you."
Of course they'll be a threat after that emphatic win against Ivory Coast. But let's see how they'll play in subsequent games.....
