Former Nigerian international, Taye Taiwo has been discussing his recent move to Turkish Super League club, Bursaspor.
.
The 28-year-old was unveiled to the club's fans and media on Saturday after completing a three-year- deal with the Green Crocodiles.
.
Speaking to the club's official website on Saturday, the former AC Milan left-back stressed that he came to Bursaspor to win the title in Turkish Super League.
.
"I have come to help Bursaspor win the league title. I already know about my teammates and head coach, Mr (Hikmet) Karaman. I have come here to play football and do my job and win the title with support of Bursaspor fans. I am a professional player. I want to do my best on the pitch. Of course I would like to score like I did before," he said.
.
Taiwo spent two seasons in Nigeria between 2003 and 2004 when he played for Gabros and Lobi Stars before he proceeded to Europe to team up with Olympique Marseille in 2005.
.
After seven eventful seasons at France's most- supported club, the left-back then proceeded to join AC Milan in Italy before being shipped out on loan to Queens Park Rangers and Dynamo Kiev.
.
He says his latest expedition, to Turkey, to join Bursaspor represents "one of the important points of my career."
.
"I am very happy to be here. It is one of the important points of my career. I am also happy to see Bursaspor fans here. I would like to thank you for that and it feels like home here," he said.
.
Taiwo made his Nigeria debut in 2004 and scored five times in 53 appearances for the Super Eagles.
Taiye Taiwo is doing very well with his career so far so I must commend them. I just hope Stephen Keshi would invite very soon...
