Pep Guardiola's hopes of a quick return to team training from Bastian Schweinsteiger received a set- back on Sunday, when Bayern Munich said that the midfielder had returned to the Bavarian capital.
.
The German international is recovering from an operation on his right foot and new coach Guardiola said earlier that he hoped the 28-year-old would be able to start training with the team in the course of the week at their training camp in Italy.
.
But in a statement on the Bayern website, the club said that Schweinsteiger would return to Germany as the possibilities to treat the foot were simply better in Munich. They added that there was no reason for concern.
.
Bayern said they hoped that Schweinsteiger would be able to start training with the team after their return from Italy on Friday.
.
Schweinsteiger had earlier said that he did not want to rush things. "I can't yet say for certain when I'll be back. I'm taking each day as it comes, and we hope it keeps going so well. But you have to look after your body."
The name confused me a bit though. He is a kind of palyer Bayern Munich would need anytime anyday so we hope he recovers soon.
