Super Eagles forwards Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike are expected to return to South Africa where they won the Africa Cup of Nations last February, this time for the August 14 Nelson Mandela Challenge against Bafana Bafana.
.
The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Musa Amadu who confirmed that the Eagles will face their South African counterparts in the Mandela Challenge in Durban said he expects Stephen Keshi to name a strong squad for the game.
.
"The Eagles will return to South Africa in August and I can assure that the Nigerian coach will name a strong squad as the South Africans are not taking the game lightly," amadu told Complete Sports on Monday.
.
"That day will be a FIFA free day and we don't expect to encounter any problem in getting our Europe- based players released by their various clubs. So we expect a full strength Eagles squad to be named by our coach."
.
On his impression of the home-based Eagles, Mr. Amadu said the boys did very well but that he felt they should have scored more goals to make the second leg a mere formality.
.
He said the boys did well as a team but their finishing was poor, adding that the coaches would hopefully work on some of the flaws noticed in their play before they leave for Abidjan.
.
Asked if the Super Eagles against Malawi World Cup duel will hold in Kaduna in appreciation of the support of both the people and government of Kaduna, Amadu said the executive committee will take a decision on that later.
That's a very nice one I must confess. Having Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike in our team is a big motivation to Nigeria anytime anyday.
