Flying Eagles vice captain expresses joy over transfer Flying Eagles midfieder Chidi Osuchukwu has expressed his belief that his career will be given a lift as he gets to move to Portuguese club, Braga, saying Super Eagles left back Elderson Echiejile played no part in his decision to sign for the Portuguese side.

Speaking with Complete Sports, the Dolphins of Port Harcourt player who was part of John Obuh's U-20 side that were eliminated at the Round of 16 stage of the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup told Complete Sports that he chose to sign for Braga because he believes his game will vastly improve.

"Many clubs came for me during the Africa Youth Championship in Algeria but at Braga, I believe my game will get better."

"The Portuguese League is vey competitive but it seems most people do not acknowledge it as a place for good football."

"Elderson Echiejile didn't really influence my choice but it was nice to know that the club that has a Super Eagles player came for me. I deliberated on the offers with my family and we concluded that the offer from Braga was best for sporting reason."

"However, I hear that Echiejile is a target of some clubs in England and might leave Braga. If he leaves, that will hurt but I still wish him well."
It is always a good thing to have a deal from football clubs no matter how small. Osuchukwu is a quality player anytime anyday.
