Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Prof. Modupe Adelabu, and the wife of Governor Kayode Fayemi, Bisi, on Tuesday went to the classroom and taught primary school pupils.
The event took place at the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB Model Nursery and Primary School, Efon Alaaye, during the second edition of 'Reading Parents Initiative'.
The development came as Adelabu urged parents to always visit their children's schools.
Such visits, she said, would help to monitor the progress of their wards just as it would encourage teachers in preparing the children for a better future.
The governor's wife commended the state government for the programme which she described as a way to assist pupils to understand comprehension passages and the use of dictionaries.
She urged teachers and parents to be patient with the children when teaching them.
