EV Cup, a new racing series for zero-emissions electric vehicles, will stage its debut races in the United States rather than in Europe as originally scheduled.
The series will start with two race events in California, at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in November and at Auto Club Speedway in December, before a full series launch in 2012. Competition will be held in three classes: CityEV, SportsEV and PrototypeEV.
