A group, Yoruba Solidarity Movement (YSM), has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to resolve the nation's lingering challenges.
In a statement signed at the weekend in Ibadan by its chairman, Chief Olufemi Ojo, and the secretary, Mr. Yomi Dawodu, the group urged Jonathan to convoke the Sovereign National Conference (SNC) now as one of the strategies to tackle the challenges.
It, however, decried the attack on some pupils in Yobe State by members of the Boko Haram sect, describing the incident as unwarranted and disturbing.
Stressing that the insecurity posed by the sect members may tear the country apart, the group said the killing of some Ibadan-based traders by the insurgents in Borno State poses danger danger for the unity and peace of the country.
The group described the insurgents as barbaric, noting that "the government seems to be showing that it is incapable of containing the animals in human skin who seem to be hell-bent in dragging the rest of us into their fatalistic worldview".
The group added: "We are therefore calling on President Jonathan to resign as he has continually shown that he is incapable of solving Nigeria's problem. We even regret to observe that rather solving the problems, his personality, style of administration and general mien are aggravating the country's problems by his failure to uphold the constitution which he swore to defend."

Goodluck Jonathan would definately do well if he's more focused on the problems facing this country and is not easily distracted.
