We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for our client who is a reputable multinational FMCG.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand the operational costing of Facilities and Transportation
• Liaise with IT regarding Warehousing and Transport Planning Systems
• Commercial management of contracts when applicable
• Review of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Standing Instructions across all functional areas.
• Risk management of Facilities & Transport
• Oversee multiple Warehouse and Transport operations in an assigned locations in line with Budget, KPI, Customer Service Standards and SHE requirements
• Management of third party service providers in terms of Service Level Agreement
• Focus on Operational Excellence and on-going cost reduction initiatives
• Effectively manage Team Members performance
• Management Reporting
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 7-10 years experience across Warehousing, Transport and Distribution Management
• MS Office – Advance skills required
• Project management experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience with re-organization of networks
• Ability to liaise with internal and external customers – focus on service and solution delivery
• Understanding of network transportation and inventory modeling
• Relevant qualification – Logistics/Transport/Supply Chain qualification – Relevant Engineering qualification
• Good verbal, communication and presentation skills
• Strong people and interpersonal skills
• High energy levels and self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure
• Analytical and detailed
• Ability to build relationships and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to understand the business units key requirements and gaps
• Able to travel
