Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Wednesday said his performance and achievements in the past two years would enable him to win the 2015 governorship poll.
The governor said this while speaking shortly after the Action Congress of Nigeria chairmen in the 20 local government areas of the state presented him the communiqué of their resolution endorsing him as the party's flagbearer for the 2015 general elections in his office in Abeokuta.
Amosun said he would consider his endorsement by the chairmen of the ACN in the LGs for a second term in office.
He also said others aspiring to contest the 2015 gubernorship election in the state were free to do so.
Amosun however described the decision of the party leaders at the local government level as a "successful coup" and a call to "more service."
The governor said his administration's investment in security, infrastructural development, health, education, agriculture and employment generation would bring about the dividends of democracy to the state.
He added that he could not afford to take the support of the people for granted, charging the party leaders to educate their members at the grass roots on the importance of the policies of the government.
