Activities : – He carries out the inspection and corrosion prevention programmes. – He carries out visual inspection on pressure systems (piping, vessels and valves), topside structure and hull (structures, paintwork, gratings, guardrails, ladders, piping, etc.). – He carries out regular inspections of the installations and draws attention to any faults he discovers, diagnosing them and suggesting remedial action to the Site Inspection Engineer. – He carries out inspection campaigns on site. – He ensures that inspection reports are of an acceptable quality. – He may populate data in the CMIMS – Computerised Maintenance and Inspection Management System under the Site Inspection Engineer guidance. – He may be delegated the supervision of certain specialists interventions by Company. – He will coordinate any Third party arranged by the Inspection services Contractor (e.g. PSV recertification campaigns). – He mentors and coaches any trainee Inspectors under his guidance. – He carries out any action within his field that is assigned by the Site Inspection Team Leader.

Purpose: – Ensures the compliance of all painting activities with the painting referential of the company TOTAL GS EP COR 350 & 450 and the TABK CMS 1315. – Manages all requests related to site painting remedial. – In charge of the scheduling of all planned and un-planned painting works. – In charge of all reporting related to coating maintenance. – In charge of QA/QC management system related to the coating system applied. – Prepare in advance the detailed scope of work of the yearly painting programme. – Perform a yearly close visual site integrity survey of all facilities to monitor the ageing coating damages to schedule suitable remedial actions and to update a long term look ahead corrective program. – Update a yearly look ahead programme for the further painting campaigns. – In charge of works permits preparation of the contracted team. – Provide assistance for the coating inspection of the items as defined in the GS EP EXP 311. – Predict possible hazard due to coating breakdown and initiate preventive measure related to asset integrity.
Qualifications required:
• The holder of this post must have the following qualifications as a minimum:
• 5 years' continuous experience in carrying out inspection in the oil and gas industry (operations).
• For personnel not qualified to HND level, a minimum of 10 years' continuous experience is required.
Specific Knowledge requirements:
• API 510 vessel inspection
• API 570 piping inspection
• Plant inspector – type CSWIP level 1 – 2
• Welding inspection CSWIP or API
• Lifting equipment – Type NSL
• Basics of gammagraphy.
• Specific professional knowledge: metallurgy/welding, corrosion, paintwork, cathodic protection, non-
• destructive testing
• A rigorous and methodical approach, an ability to maintain good relations with colleagues.
• Physical ability to regularly go and work offshore in the climatic conditions of the site,
• Languages: English necessary – score of >> 3.5 in standard Total test or Bright test or 780 in TOEIC.
