ARCHBISHOP of the Benin Catholic Province, Bishop Augustine Akubueze, yesterday, said that the departed Senator Pius Ewherido had played his role on earth and gone to rest.
.
Meanwhile, two groups, Delta Focus Group and G25 Assembly, have described the late Senator Ewherido as a courageous, brilliant, patriotic and dedicated Nigerian, who within his brief period of two years in the senate left his footprints on the sands of time.
.
Akubueze in his homily during the outing service organised for the late Ewherido at St Peters Catholic Church, Ewu-Urhobo, Delta State, urged the people to think of themselves rather than lament over Ewherido's death.
.
Praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the pains caused by his death, he said that they should be consoled by the fact that he is resting in the bosom of God.
