Title: Joel Obi Injured Again
Post by: Folami David on Jul 22, 2013, 10:44 AM
Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi's recent recovery from a long injury lay-off has suffered some setback after straining his adductor which forced him to miss Inter's last training session yesterday.
.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 22-year-old who was part of the club's first pre-season game at the weekend alongside Kovacic were advised to rest by the team doctors so as not to aggravate the injuries.
.
However, the two players were not subjected to any examination- a sign that it was not serious problems but the Inter medical staff will remain vigilant in monitoring their physical condition as the pre season activities progress.
.
Obi whose development in the rank of Nerrazurri was hampered by a nagging injury last season after showing some promise since joining the first team of the club, returned to the field of play for the former European champions' pre-season last week and was confident of having a good season.
.
Coach Walter Mazzarri has also ruled out any possibility of allowing the Super Eagles midfielder to join any other club in the current transfer window, saying he was determined to give him and other players some chance to prove their mettle in the upcoming season.

This injury thingy happens to every footballer so we have to accept things the way they are. Joel Obi is a fantastic player though!
