Title: Bursaspor Offer Utaka €2m Deal
Post by: Folami David on Jul 22, 2013, 10:56 AM
Nigerian forward John Utaka may join Turkish Bursaspor as reports from France indicate that the former Portsmouth of England striker was on the verge of signing a 3-year deal worth 2 million euro per year with the modest side.
.
Following the expiration of his contract with Montpellier at the end of last season, another Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille were reported to be tracking his situation with a view to luring him to bolster their attack ahead of the commencement of 2013/14 season which kicks off next month.
.
But according to Le Parisien, after the ex- Rennes winger held talks in Paris last weekend with some top officials of Bursaspor who recently signed another Nigerian, Taiye Taiwo, alongside Renato Civelli from OGC Nice, they have now shifted their attention to Utaka and the kind of 'juicy contract' they are offering him may forced him to ditch the French Ligue 1 for the Turkish Super Lig next season.
.
The 31-year-old former Arab Contractor of Egypt player who recently wedded his French girl friend scored a total of six goals in 28 appearances for Montpellier last season.

John Utaka is a great footballer anytime anyday because he did for Nigeria when he was still a Super Eagles player. Very good one.
