Title: Governor Uduaghan of Delta State Sworn in for Second Term

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State on Sunday took his oath office for a second tenure at exactly 8.58am, with a promise to focus his attention in creating five hundred thousand new jobs towards tackling youth unemployment in the state.

The governor arrived the Cenotaph, venue of the swearing in ceremony in Asaba, at about 7.40am even before many dignitaries and some clergymen and worshippers that attended a denominational service that preceded the swearing in.

The Governor claded in native attire along with his wife, Roli, exuded confidence while addressing the audience, however warned that he would be strict in the appointment of new Commissioners in the State, noting that the time for mediocrity was over.

Delta State Chief Judge, Justice Abiodum Smith administered the oath of office on the governor and his deputy, Prof Amos Utuama.

His words: "we are solidifying strategic alliance and partnerships to attract heavy investments into the State.
