Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Manko, yesterday, said the Police Corporal who allegedly knocked down a woman and her baby while driving against traffic last month on Apapa Oshodi Expressway, was being probed alongside the Divisional Police Officer in-charge of Festac, Ibrahim Zango, who reportedly sent the policeman on errand.

The commissioner threatened that if they were found guilty at the end of investigation, the DPO and Corporal would face the consequences.

Meanwhile doctors at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, are said to still be battling to resuscitate the victim, Mrs. Taskirat Anjolaiya, a teacher at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, who sustained pelvic fracture and brain injury.

Her baby, Amarah, who sustained a broken jaw was reportedly responding to treatment.
