Fulham signed teenage French midfielder Ange-Freddy Plumain on a free transfer from Lens on Thursday.

Plumain agreed a three-year contract, with the option of a further year's extension, and will start life at Craven Cottage as part of the Premier League club's Under-21 development squad.

The 18-year-old made 22 appearances for Lens in the French second division last season, scoring once, and has also represented France at Under-16 level.

A Fulham statement read: "The club is delighted to announce the signing of Ange-Freddy Plumain on a contract until 30th June 2016, with an option to extend for another year."

Plumain is Fulham manager Martin Jol's fourth pre- season signing following the arrivals of goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from Roma, Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng and Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta.
