Towards ensuring institutionalizing effective exit plan for the beneficiaries of the Community Services Women and Youths Employment (CSWYE) Project of SURE-P, the Federal Project Implementation Unit in the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, has embarked on the process of developing a comprehensive and effective exit strategy plan for the sustainability of the CSWYE project.

The exit plan is aimed at ensuring that beneficiaries continue with the ethics they have learnt within the year of participating in the project having gone through the orientation processes that teaches dignity of labour and abhorrence of social vices.

While addressing the Management of the Gozac Resources Development Ltd, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Clement Illoh, who was represented at the presentation by the Project Director of CSWYE, Dr. Nwordu said that: "The administration of President Goodluck Jonathan is desirous of ensuring that beneficiaries of the CSWYE project do not relapse to conditions of joblessness but advance to self sustenance after exiting the project, putting into effect the values and ethics they have learnt during their participation and thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the nation".

In his presentation, the resource person of Gozac Resources Development Ltd emphasized on the need for an exit strategy saying, "It is not enough that you have people engaged for one year and pay them stipends, at the end of the day it is expected that there is something tangible that would come out of it in-terms of gainful employment and being able to start up a business.  The exit strategy proposal outlined how we could partner with CSWYE component of SURE-P to achieve this goal."

The project is a sensible one and I believe it would change a lot of things if completed as soon as possible. It makes sense.
