A dumbfounded Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, yesterday, in Warri, Delta State, shelved his planned attack on Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State and also apologized to Nigerians for his utterances, over the years, which they consider to have threatened the unity of the country.
.
He also commended the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who he said had done well in sports and brought national and international recognition to the state.
.
Clark spoke, yesterday, at finals of first edition of Chief (Dr.) E.K. Clark National Wrestling Championship, held at the Brownhill Event Centre, Warri, Delta State.
.
The Ijaw national leader had come prepared to the event with a speech to lambast Governor Lamido over his recent outburst against him (Clark), but he was pleasantly surprised that despite the existing political differences between them, the governor sponsored a contingent from Jigawa State to a national wrestling championship in his honour.
Our politicians just have to always be careful of their utterances whenever they speak to the public. They just talk anyhow sometimes.
