Argentine defender Lucas Orban signed for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for €3.5 million on Monday after turning down an offer from River Plate, who owned half the rights to him.

The 24-year-old played for River Plate's Argentinian rivals Tigre, who bought half the rights to him two years ago when he joined them from River Plate, where he had come through the youth system.

"The defender refused the offer by River and opted to move to Europe," read a statement by River Plate.

"He will play for Bordeaux, who bought him for €3.5 million."
Argentina is definately a country that has lots of talents...Their defenders are dope too so this is definately a good signing. Very good one.
