Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile has confirmed reports in the Portuguese media that Turkish side, Besiktas are in talks with his agent over a possible transfer this summer.
.
According to a Portuguese sports daily, A Bola, Besiktas are prepared to pay 2.5 million euros for the Nigerian left-back. EPL side Norwich City appeared to be leading the chase for the Sporting Braga star but Besiktas have since moved ahead and are now in pole position to land him. Echiejile who missed Braga's training session due to slight fever on Monday further expressed his readiness to excel in the forthcoming season regardless of the transfer speculations linking him away from the club.
.
"Those teams are in talks with my agent but he hasn't briefed me on the development so far. For now, I am only focused on doing well for Braga next season," he told Complete Sports.
.
The 2013 AFCON winner still has a year left on his current contract at Braga and will rejoin his teammates when they return from Algrave in the coming days.
Echejile is definately a kind of player any team would want in their sqaud cos he is always dedicated and committed. Keshi trained him very well....
