GENERAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Chief Internal Auditor
• A person seeking appointment as Chief Internal Auditor must possess a good Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting and be a full member of ICAN or ANAN. In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software.
• In addition to having a minimum of 12 years' experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.
Senior Internal Auditor
• A person seeking appointment as Senior Internal Auditor must possess a good Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting. Possession of a higher degree and membership of the relevant professional body will be an advantage.
• In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software. In addition to having a minimum of 8 years' experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.
Principal Accountant
• A person seeking appointment as Principal Accountant must possess a good Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
• In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software.
• In addition to having a minimum of 10 years' experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.
Accountant I
• A person seeking appointment as Accountant I must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
• In addition to having a minimum of 5 years experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.
• Possession of a higher degree will be an advantage.
• In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software.
Higher Executive Officer Accounts
• A person seeking appointment as Higher Executive Officer Accounts must possess a good Higher National Diploma degree or equivalent in Accounting.
• In addition, the person must demonstrate versatility in the use of relevant accounting software.
• In addition to having a minimum of 10 yeas' experience in the accounting profession, preferably in a tertiary educational institution, the person must also show evidence of a track record of personal and professional integrity.
