The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, yesterday, faulted the claims of the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, that it was politicising the cholera outbreak in some parts of the state.
.
A statement by the party's Publicity Secretary, Mr. Waliu Oladipupo, said it merely urged the state government to live up to its responsibility and stem the tide of the cholera outbreak, rather than hiding behind some medical jargons.
.
The party reminded the government that it has a primary responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.
.
"We wish to state for the umpteenth time that if the ACN-led government had been up to its responsibilities of promoting healthy living, provision of quality healthcare and potable water, rather than some white elephant projects that have brought pain and anguish to our people, this epidemic would have been avoided.
