We are a Company that provides Trust Administration services to High Networth Individuals, Families, Organizations and Governments. We also work with our clients and their professional advisors by assisting them to achieve their financial goals using the full range of trust strategies available to achieve each client's objectives.
The Company is an emerging Trustee company and is also a fully owned subsidiary of a parent Company registered to perform Issuing House, Asset Management and Financial Advisory Services. This includes Transaction Advisory, Investment Promotion Advisory, Equity and Debt Participation, Structured Finance and Public-Private Partnership ("PPP") transactions.
The trust services company serves as trustees and advisors to prominent individuals, families and foundations.
Roles and Responsibilities.
• Assisting in the resolution of legal matters and advising management on any legal peculiarities
• Managing and monitoring of sinking funds (repayment source) i.e Bond Issues and Debentures
• Attendance of All Parties Meetings to discuss the scheme prospectus
• Strict administration of Trust Deeds and management of Trust Relationships
• Rendering and treating varieties of legal issues in relation to Wills, Probate, Succession, Inheritance and Administration of estates
• Monitoring /Liaising with external solicitors in respect to pending litigation matters
• Supporting the coordination of the Company's internal and external capacities in the performance of its legal function and working with internal and external parties as approved by management
• Preparation of variety of legal documents including transaction documentation designed to protect the interest of the Company
• Providing legal advise to management and staff in all areas of the Company's activities and proffering solutions to legal problems, constraints, risks, options, consequences and approaches
• Representing the Company internally and externally in negotiation, disputes, consultations and other proceedings that require legal representation
Requirements:
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in trust services, business advisory services and coordination of legal assignments.
• Preparing, reviewing and drafting legal opinions, documents and also preparing presentations on all aspects of Nigerian Law.
• Liaising with a variety of government agencies including the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
• Strong academic records (not less than a Second Class Lower Division) with a demonstrable high degree of verbal and analytical competence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated with a mastery in written communication and presentations;
• Ability to multi task and work closely with individuals from a broad variety of backgrounds.
• Personable team player, with the ability to gain confidence and trust of colleagues
